There’s something to be said about the brides (& grooms) of 2020. They’ve had to endure so many changes during one of the most important and special times of their lives. Most of them have experienced cancelled dates, moved dates (a few times), finding new vendors, guests that weren’t sure if they should attend, and a whole new level of stress that I don’t think anyone knew could possibly exist.

From the moment Lillian and I met over a year ago, she was calm and relaxed. And she has maintained that state through all the reschedules, all the changes, and anything wedding related that came their way.

Mark and Lillian’s original wedding date was November 28, 2020. A couple months ago she reached out to me and we talked about all the possible options for their big day. At one point we thought it might be 2022 before they got to say “I do.” After we got off the phone, I had a pretty heavy heart. I text Lillian and said,

“Your and Mark’s day is about the two of you. I’m sure its a difficult decision either way, but you and Mark talk it over and do what you guys feel is best. I’m here for you either way.”

And so the new wedding date of September 19, 2020 was born. It’s a day that I think Mark and Lillian thought might not come for a while. But here it finally is. Sooner than they thought, a little different than they had planned, but it will be absolutely perfect in the end.

So today I’m sharing their engagement session from last fall at the gorgeous Quarry Bluff Estates. This location has so much to offer, from beautiful rock cliffs, to a lake so still it looks like glass, and a little hidden gem of a beach nestled between the rocks (peep that top image!)… which just happens to their newly chosen ceremony site for today! How freakin’ gorgeous, right?!

Mark and Lillian- your day is here! I am just so excited for y’all and I am so glad you are getting to share this day with the most important people in your lives! I hope this day is everything you didn’t realize you needed out of a wedding day. Let’s make some magic!
