Y’all. This day has been a LONG time coming. And I can’t even begin to imagine how these two are feeling. It’s finally here– THEIR WEDDING DAY!

Carson and Alexis’ engagement session at Mount Saint Francis was done in August of 2019. All done with the intention of their wedding date being March 21, 2020.

They had everything planned. Ready to go. I’m pretty sure they were already packed for their honeymoon.

Alexis and I even met at the church 8 days before their wedding to finalize everything. But even then we knew, something wasn’t quite right. We could only hope that all would be okay.

The very next day, exactly ONE WEEK from their anticipated wedding date, they were notified that their venue had cancelled all events for the rest of the month!

I know there are a lot of 2020 brides out there that have had to reschedule, but can y’all imagine getting one week’s notice that your wedding is cancelled?!? If it were me, I probably would have keeled over right then and there.

After the initial shock wore off, we talked through it. I told her I’d do whatever I could do to help them. And I’d be there for them every step of the way.

Lots of dates were thrown around. Different plans were made. And in the end, they settled on October 24, 2020 with an intimate backyard ceremony at Carson’s parent’s home. No chance for cancellation this time. It’s a go!

Alexis and Carson– I truly hope you guys know how much y’all mean to me! I can’t believe I’ve already shared so much life with you and there’s so much more to come. All the bumps in the road have led you right here to this moment. It may not be the wedding you thought you’d have, but I’m just so dang happy for you guys! And so freakin’ proud of you! You’ve faced so many challenges and you hit them head on every single time. I just know you’ll have the best day! Soak it all in, it’s finally here!!
